Family Fair to aid Hispanic families
The Rape Crisis Center, in partnership with Georgetown Presbyterian Church and the Hispanic Ministry, will be hosting the first annual Family Fair at Georgetown Presbyterian Church from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 14. Organizations interested in setting up a booth should call 455-0604 for more information.
Agencies are asked to provide literature in Spanish and provide an activity for kids. The objective of the fair is to expose Hispanic families in Georgetown County to more health and personal safety resources.

Woman reports vandalism at home
A 56-year-old Conway woman told police someone threw eggs and a traffic cone at her home, according to a police report.
The woman said she heard a noise between midnight and 12:30 a.m. Sunday and, when she went to investigate, found eggs and the traffic cone at her front door in the 1200 block of Turtle Creek Drive, police said.
The woman said she saw a vehicle driving away from her home with four or five people inside, and she thought they were laughing as the vehicle drove away, according to the report. Officers noted no physical damage to the property.
MYRTLE BEACH
Woman charged with assault at club
A 26-year-old Myrtle Beach woman was charged with hitting a 38-year-old man with a beer bottle while inside a club at Broadway at the Beach, according to a police report.
Devin Chanell Jackson, of 4932 Crab Pond Court, was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature after police saw security chasing a woman through the parking lot near Shuckers Raw Bar at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, police said.
The security officers told police the woman hit an employee of Club Boca after he was bumped by someone, which caused him to bump into Jackson, according to the report. The man said Jackson was offended and demanded an apology, but before he could do anything, she hit him in the face several times before he grabbed her wrist to stop her.
The man said she pulled away, went to the beer tub, got a beer and hit him about 10 times in the head, according to the report. Officers noted the man had visible injuries to his nose, but he refused medical treatment.
Jackson told police she was bumped by someone in the club and that person grabbed her by the throat, and she hit him repeatedly with a beer bottle, according to the report.
