New York pair rescued from sinking boat
Two people are safe after the 63-foot sport fishing boat they were transporting sank about 20 miles east of Myrtle Beach on Friday.
Jason Milius, 34, and Jamie Castantine, 33, both from New York, were aboard the boat when they radioed for help, said Petty Officer Michael Hulme with the Coast Guard.
Three boaters from Grantsboro, N.C., were in a nearby boat when they heard the radio transmission and were able to respond, Hulme said. They safely removed Milius and Castantine from the boat and the men never touched the water, he said.
A Coast Guard utility boat crew picked up the Milius and Castantine from the other boat and transported them to Coast Guard Station Georgetown, Hulme said. He was unsure if either of the men was transported for medical treatment.
Milius and Castantine were hired to transport the boat from Lindenhurst, N.Y., to West Palm Beach, Fla. This morning, the boat left from Wrightsville Beach, N.C. and was headed to a stop-over in Hilton Head, S.C., Hulme said.

Man facing 7th armed robbery charge
A Hemingway man already facing six armed robbery charges filed by Horry County police will face an additional armed robbery charge filed by Myrtle Beach police early Friday, according to authorities.
Myrtle Beach police charged Joshua Lee Causey, 27, with armed robbery early Friday after he was taken to the city's jail. The charge stems from an incident earlier this year, Lt. Doug Furlong said.
Causey and Holly Marie Griffin, 32, also of Hemingway, were arrested Oct. 23 by Georgetown County police in connection with six armed robberies at various hotels and businesses. Information about Friday's charge against Causey in Myrtle Beach was not available, but the Horry County charges stemmed from robberies that included one at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 20 where a man went to the Country Inn and Suites at 3516 Waccamaw Blvd., Myrtle Beach and brandished a handgun demanding money.
