"Donkey Punch"
I’m not joking, that is the title. For those of you that know what a “Donkey Punch” is, this is a film for you. A pretty tight thriller, made with very little budget and a cast of Australian no-names. Oliver Blackburn does a lot in a very confined location. The plot is set almost entirely on a boat off the coast of Spain. The content of Blackburn’s script is split. The first half is full of gratuitous sex and drugs, typically, six people in their early 20s partying on a yacht. The second half is where all hell breaks loose and Blackburn releases a gore fest – deftly providing suspense action scenes that usually end with something getting slashed, gouged or stabbed. This movie is not breaking any new ground but it is still a kick to watch and worth renting.
