Town Council

Two seats

John Gardner (i) | 47

Tony Godsey Sr. | 49

Josh Johnson | 51

What it means | Incumbent John Gardner was defeated by newcomers Tony Godsey Sr. and Josh Johnson. Both Godsey and Johnson have ideas to keep Aynor a thriving community. Godsey said he wants to see a community center built for town residents, while Johnson said he would continue to improve on safety in Aynor.

What they said | "I'm just happy to be part of my community now ... on a public office side," said Johnson. "I just need to maintain the good direction we're going in here in the town of Aynor and hope we can sustain the continued growth and well-being in our community and our schools. I'm pretty excited, and I think it will be a great learning opportunity for me, and we can help the community in any way we see fit."
