Further musings on the minister of music
I met Jeff Roberts through my nephew, Seth Funderburk, years ago when they were both at Sounds Familiar. I was fortunate to attend the first South by Southeast show at the Aloha with Lauren Ellis and Jill Block and travel to go to the SXSE shows as often as I can. Jeff always made me feel that it made his day that I was there, as he did everyone. Surge paid a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man.

Thanks you guys so much for all you did to capture the very essence of my little brother Jeff in your articles (Weekly Surge, Jan. 28). I am still not right and try every day to do my best to keep the train a-rollin'...It is a sad thing losing this guy...You guys nailed it, and I am proud to call you friends. South By Southeast had a meeting and we will "stay the course,'' as a legacy to that big ole boy.
