WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The body of a 60-year-old man was found floating in a central North Carolina lake, and authorities do not think foul play was involved.
The Winston-Salem Journal reported that police believe the man was biking on the trails around Salem Lake in Winston-Salem and lost control and crashed into the water. Lt. Billy Riggs said a jogger saw the man's body about 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Riggs said the jogger called 911, then dove into the lake and pulled the man's body out.
Police have identified the man but Riggs said officials want to notify his family before they make his name public.
The man is the second to drown at Salem Lake this year.
In September, a canoeist found the body of 22-year-old Rafael Leroy Wright, floating in the lake.
