The Dallas Mavericks hope to sweep a two-day test against in-state rivals when they take to the hardwood in the Alamo City against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Mavs routed Houston in Dallas on Tuesday when Jason Terry exploded off the bench, missing just one shot in a 24-point effort, as the Mavericks rebounded from some early struggles to post an easy 121-103 win over the Rockets.

Terry went 7-of-8 from the field and 9-of-9 from the free throw line in 25 minutes of action for the Mavs, who have won five of six after losing their season opener. Dirk Nowitzki had 23 points, while Erick Dampier dominated the boards with 20 rebounds to go with 14 points.

"I think the guys are looking for me more around the basket, and a lot of that is because of [Jason] Kidd," Dampier said. "He has the ball in his hands a lot, so I try to present myself under the basket and try to score whenever I get the ball inside. Whenever I get fouled, (I) take my time, go to the free throw line and knock down those shots."

Josh Howard also added 14 points, while Kidd had 11 assists along with five points. Jose Juan Barea scored 14 points, and Shawn Marion 10 in the win.

The Spurs, meanwhile, will be resuming a three-game homestand against the Mavs.

San Antonio won the opener of the residency on Monday when Manu Ginobili finished with 36 points and connected on a series of three-pointers down the stretch to lead the Spurs to a 131-124 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

With Tim Duncan and Tony Parker out with ankle injuries, Ginobili took center stage, making 8-of-15 shots, including 6-of-8 from beyond the arc. He also finished with eight assists and four blocks for the Spurs, who snapped a two- game slide.

Richard Jefferson added 24 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for San Antonio, while George Hill scored 22 in the victory.

"I needed to get hot and make shots and start to feel good again," Ginobili said. "It's a tough game when two of your best players aren't playing. We felt more responsibility as a team to take charge."

Parker has a mild sprain that could keep him on the shelf for another couple of days while Duncan is listed as day-to-day with swelling in his left ankle.

San Antonio will finish its homestand against Oklahoma City on Nov. 14.

Dallas has won six of the past 11 contests against the Spurs.
