The Cincinnati Bengals placed safety Roy Williams on injured reserve Friday.
Williams, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, has been sidelined the last three games with a fractured forearm, the same injury that caused him to miss a majority of the 2008 season in Dallas, where he spent the first seven years of his career.
The 29-year-old safety had 28 tackles this season in four games for the Bengals, who signed wide receiver Maurice Purify from the practice squad to take Williams' place on the roster.
