Blue Jackets activate D Commodore from IR

The Columbus Blue Jackets activated defenseman Mike Commodore from injured reserve, the club announced on Thursday.

The 29-year-old Commodore suffered a groin injury in the Blue Jackets' preseason opener -- a 5-4 overtime loss -- at Pittsburgh on September 15.

In 81 contests last season, the blueliner registered five goals and 19 assists to go along with 100 penalty minutes.
