The Carolina Hurricanes activated forward Erik Cole from injured reserve Sunday.
Cole missed 10 games for Carolina after breaking a bone in his leg in the second game of the season.
The Hurricanes have struggled to a 2-5-3 record without Cole, who has scored at least 18 goals in each of the past four seasons.
The 30-year-old forward has amassed 147 goals and 175 assists in 500 career games. He spent the beginning of last season with Edmonton before being dealt back to Carolina, where he spent the first six years of his career.
