Avalanche's Tucker taken off, Liles placed on IR

The Colorado Avalanche activated forward Darcy Tucker from injured reserve and placed defenseman John-Michael Liles on IR on Wednesday.

Tucker was placed on injured reserve, retroactive to October 23, and has missed the last eight games due to a concussion caused by a hit from Carolina's Tuomo Ruutu.

Liles was placed on IR, retroactive to November 6, with a shoulder injury.
