Running at large | On July 2 in Carolina Forest, a man was walking to his neighborhood's mailboxes when a German shepherd came running toward him growling. The victim turned away, and the dog bit him. The subject said his German shepherd was on a leash and got loose while he was cleaning up after him. The officer saw proof of vaccinations and sent a report to DHEC.
Check fraud violation | On July 2, a Carolina Forest business reported that the subject tendered a check for $3,000 on Jan. 10, and it was returned marked ``refer to maker.'' The business sent the required 10-day letter but got no response. The same person wrote the business a check for $2,500 on Jan. 11.
Civil | On July 2, a Carolina Forest woman, the victim, said subject 1, a woman with a Texas address, was given the victim's car and was supposed to make payments on it. She did not make the last two payments totaling $602. The victim was referred to a magistrate.
Harassment | On June 29, a Carolina Forest woman called police about harassment over the Internet. She said a suspect has been harassing her by phone and e-mail over the past eight months and was putting pictures of her face on naked bodies on the Internet. All of this has been after she turned him down for a date. She changed her phone twice and her e-mail, but he found her new e-mail address. She changed jobs, and he sent flowers to her there to let her know that he knew where she was working. She was advised to call police whenever something occurred and to see a judge.
