Stolen motorcycles | On October 18 in Carolina Forest, two victims reported that their motorcycles were stolen. They parked them at about 3 p.m. in their apartment parking lot, and when they went out about 8:30 p.m., the bikes were gone. One is an orange, black and white Honda 600, and the other is a blue and white 2008 Yamaha. They are valued at $21,000.
Harassment/threats/unlawful use of telephone | On October 20, a female victim said a male subject was harassing and threatening her with numerous phone calls. He tells her that she has been lying to him and he is going to get her and kill her. The subject called several times while the officer was on scene and the officer heard the threats. The victim said she and the subject were never romantically involved and had worked together for a few months. She said she was afraid of him. The officer tried to make contact with the subject at a residence, where he learned that the subject is a female. The victim said she had only known him as a male.
Improper turn signal/driving under suspension second offense | On October 18 in Garden City, an officer saw a male driver make a turn without using his turn signal. The officer turned on his lights and siren to stop the vehicle, and the driver kept driving until he reached his residence and turned in. The officer asked for the driver’s license, proof of insurance and registration, and the driver gave him everything except a driver’s license, which he did not have because it was suspended.
Harassment | On October 18 in the Conway area, a female said flowers, pizza and taxis have been arriving at her home, and the people who bring them are saying that she ordered them, and are expecting her to pay. The florist gave the officer the names given by the person who ordered the flowers, and the pizza business gave the officer the phone number that the pizza orders came from. The taxis were requested from a blocked number. The victim said she has been having trouble with an ex-spouse and with anonymous calls to DSS complaining about her and her household.
Harassing phone calls | On October 17 in the Loris area, a female victim, 70, said she had been receiving harassing phone calls constantly for three days from the same male subject, who is someone she does not know. She told him he had the wrong number and to “please stop” calling, but he kept calling anyway. She got his name and address from caller ID and the phone book, and gave it to the responding officer.
Emergency protective custody | On October 15 in the Conway area, an officer responded to a dispute between a mother and her daughter. The daughter agreed to leave. When the officer was leaving, her boyfriend told him that she had gone back inside. The officer went back in and asked her what the problem was. She asked the officer if he knew she had tried to kill herself before, and the officer said he did not. She said she was going to do it again that day. The officer placed her in protective custody and took her to an emergency room.
