JENNIFER LOMBARDI | WATERFORD PLANTATION

A new president, and I am not talking about Obama ...

The Waterford Plantation Board of Directors on Jan. 7 announced the resignation of our president, Mr. Phil Stalvey. Phil said that his personal schedule and obligations would not allow him to serve the needs of this board position. Thanks for all that you have done to make Waterford a great place to live.

The board appointed Mr. John Bankowski to complete Phil's term of office, until the annual meeting in 2010. John Bankowski has lived in Waterford for more then 11 years with his wife, Natalie, and two children, Julianna and John.

John owns Waterside Painting, Natalie is a travel agent, Julianna attends USC and John Jr. just graduated from CCU and is looking for a career in finance.

I feel like like John will be a great addition to our board and will offer some positive energy to our neighborhood, as well as some real solutions to the couple of issues that our neighborhood is dealing with at this time.

By the way, if anyone knows who stole our ``speed hump'' signs, please let us know. At this point, our neighborhood has to pay to have these signs to replaced; and it is going to cost hundreds of dollars. If you see a speed hump sign, you can e-mail me and I will turn over the information to the proper authorities. I will keep your personal information confidential.

Thanks for keeping an eye out for our property.
