Carolina Forest Senior Health Center will hold a free blood pressure screening from 2-3 p.m. Feb. 19.
A senior health center registered nurse will conduct the screening which is open to the public.

The Carolina Forest High School ShowCase Show Choir will present "Broadway Bound" at 7 p.m. Feb. 27.
The show is a fundraiser for the choir's trip to a choral competition in May in New York

Fire Wise seminars
The Horry County Fire Rescue Wildfire Team has teamed up with the S.C. Forestry Service to present free Fire Wise seminars open to the public.
Steps residents can take to make the exterior of their home safer will be discussed.
The largest fire in South Carolina history was in Horry County on April 10, 1976, burning nearly 30,000 acres on land that is now Carolina Forest and Forestbrook.
Representatives from the Forestry Service, Horry County Fire Rescue and the Horry County Chapter of Wildlife Action will be presenting information during the seminars - one of which is for the Home Owner Associations' boards of directors and the other for all residents.

The Carolina Forest Chapter of Wildlife Action also is teaming up with the Forestry Department to present a third session:

S.C. Assistant Regional Forester Debbie Price will talk to homeowners about potential forest fire risk in Carolina Forest and ways to mitigate those risks.

Style show fundraiser
The Horry County Museum Board is hosting a style show fundraiser Feb. 27 at the C. B. Berry Community and Historical Center in Little River. The Summer Fashion Style Show and Luncheon will include spring and summer casual adult wear, and formal gowns and dinner dresses. Tickets are $25 and be purchased at the Horry County Museum.
Proceeds will go towards the Horry County Museum Foundation Fundraising Campaign to raise money to build and install exhibits in the renovated Historic Burroughs School that will be the new home of the museum.
