Black Water Middle Holds Second Quarter Celebration of Success Ceremonies

On Feb. 13 Black Water Middle School held its second Celebration of Success ceremonies for the 2008-2009 school year.

Thirty-eight students were recognized as receiving all A's (ALPHA) and 118 students were recognized as receiving all A's & B's (BETA). Thirty-three students received the Joy of Reading award for being outstanding readers in their MIRP classes.

Other awards included those for READ 180 Students of Achievement, Perfect Attendance for the First Semester, Most Improved Behavior and Most Academically Improved.

In addition to awards presented at the individual ceremonies, 502 students were recognized for good behavior (having zero office referrals during the second quarter) and 44 students were recognized for having perfect attendance during the second quarter. Each of these groups was recognized with certificates and coupons in the classroom.

The following students received Most Improved Behavior Awards:

Sixth Grade: Jonathan Tyler Holt and Amy Michelle Roskoph

Seventh Grade: Briana Victoria Greenwood and Adrian Darrell Hicks

Eighth Grade: Thomas Martin Dawber and Alora Katelyn Hunley

The following students received ALPHA awards:
