Girl Scouts from Carolina Forest and all over Horry County on April 18 were in Myrtle Beach to participate in the Horry County Girl Scout Jamboree.
The event was held at Market Common field No. 7, and the girls enjoyed a beautiful spring day with both new and old friends.
The Girl Scout mission is: "Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place!" This Jamboree was a great example of this in action!
Hundreds of girls spent the day playing various games, learning and singing new songs, and an inflatable was on hand for the fun.
One of the highlights and a tradition of the jamboree is that each troop makes a craft that as a troop and then they trade with other participating troops giving them many handmade mementos to remember the day, and of course, the new friends that were made.
The hit of the day was cotton candy.
A great time was had by all, and the girls are already talking about next year!
