How long have you lived here? Seven years

How long have you worked for Horry County Fire Rescue? 5½ years; 10 months at Carolina Forest Station 39

Total experience as a firefighter? Began working as an EMT in 1991.

When and why did you decide you wanted to be a firefighter-EMT? Volunteered for the fire department for 4½ years, a friend was a firefighter. He also became interested through watching the TV show "9-1-1."

What do you like the most about being a firefighter? "The gratification of helping somebody, them saying, 'Thank you for all you do.' That's a good feeling."

Hobbies, interests | spending time with his daughter, bike riding, golf

Favorite music or singer/band | Disco

Favorite movie | Tie between "Staying Alive" and "Saturday Night Fever"

What's something people might not know about you? That he loves disco music! (He's not kidding, folks. I asked. Multiple times.)
