The Easter Bunny makes a visit to Waterford!
What do you get when you add 2,000 Easter eggs, a sunny spring sky, the Easter bunny, the Chick~fil~A cow, a huge cake, some lemonade, three golden eggs, and more than 100 Waterford neighbors and friends? A super fun way to kick off spring break!
April 4 was a beautiful afternoon for such a fun event for our community! Smiles were contagious as the children ran around hunting for eggs. We divided the hunt into three sections to keep things safe. The 4-year-olds-and-under were so cute. The older children were on a mission to find the golden egg; they wanted that grand prize!
The ages ranged from a month old to 15, all having a blast. Parents and grandparents had a great time, too.
A huge thank you to all of the area businesses that donated prizes for our Easter Egg hunt. Plantation Storage on Carolina Forest Boulevard donated an electric scooter for our grand prize. Olivia and Brady Wright won that prize after their grandmother, Dorothy Staffa, found the golden egg, she was thrilled!
More thanks to: Kreations Salon donated hair color, cut and styling prizes, and spray tanning. Dr. Holladay donated free dental X-rays, Bruster's gave two free ice cream bunny cakes and coupons for ice cream treats. Cathy Marcus at The Forest Salon gave two manicures. Thank you, Anne and Chick~fil~A for the cow visit and free coupons; Brian O'Brian for the ice cream and water; Ray Heyman for being our "special guest"; and all of the volunteers that helped hide the eggs and make this event a huge success!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Welcome spring!
