Tossed ham nails Deen at food bank

closeAtlanta -- Celebrity chef Paula Deen got an unexpected serving of ham - across her face.
The Food Network star was helping unload 25,000 pounds of donated meat for an Atlanta food bank on Monday when someone threw one of the hams like a football and accidentally smacked her.
Deen says she was unloading hams when she tossed one to a man, who then said "Back at ya." Thinking he meant it only as a sentiment, she turned around to get another ham when the errant swine came at her.
"He really meant, 'Back at ya.'"
Town honors Sambora
Woodbridge, N.J. On Tuesday, residents and public officials gathered in Richie Sambora's hometown of Woodbridge to name a street in his honor.
The 50-year-old Sambora has launched a fundraising effort, called "You Can Go Home," to give back to the community. The program benefits Woodbridge teen Kelly Mahon, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago.
Sambora also financed the new weight room at his alma mater, Woodbridge High School. It's being named in honor of Sambora's father, Adam, who died of cancer in 2007.
Lambert loses GMA
New York Adam Lambert's racy American Music Awards performance cost him a gig on "Good Morning America," but he will perform live instead on ABC's morning rivals at CBS.
Lambert was to sing Wednesday on "GMA," but the network said Tuesday it was canceling the openly gay singer because "we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning."
While singing his new song, "For Your Entertainment," at the awards program on Sunday, Lambert kissed a male keyboardist, fondled a dancer and had another dancer briefly stuff his face in Lambert's crotch. The performance prompted many complaints to ABC, and the network cut out the brief oral sex simulation for its West Coast broadcasts.
