Sing for your supper

Karen Holck, owner of Broadway Cafe & Gourmet, is inviting all brave and bold enough to come sing for their supper Thursday.

Festivities for the "Sing For Your Supper" begin at 5 p.m.

A prix fixeMenu featuring spaghetti with meat sauce, greens with Italian dressing and a hunk of garlic bread will be $9.95 per person.

Briley Altman will be on the piano, but you can sing, accompanied by Altman, if you want.

If you do, you will earn a "Broadway Buck" to use toward your supper.

Reservations are required.

The eatery is at 509 Broadway St. in Myrtle Beach.

Call 712-2837.

Family Night Out

Now until the end of the year, The Market Common is hosting free kids meals and treats from restaurants every Monday evening.

Children 12 and under will receive one free meal with the purchase of an adult entree.

Gordon Biersch, Roy & Sid's American Kitchen and Tommy Bahama's Restaurant & Bar are among the participants.

The little ones can even receive free ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. Adults, or the children, just simply need to say the words "Family Night." Upon doing so, a server will give them a free Like It (small) scoop of ice cream with the purchase of a Love It (large) scoop of ice cream. Call 839-3500.

Pawleys pleasure

Ernest Bledsoe, executive chef, at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club is serving up his chef's "2 for $30" menu in the Sawgrass Dining Room.

It will be available from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays.

And there is no need to go looking fancy. Just look country club casual.

Reservations are not required but are suggested. The club is at 70 Tanglewood Drive in Pawleys Island. Call 237-6100.
