LIQUOR

Nuvo L'Esprit de Paris

This is a terrific and extremely interesting cocktail, a blend of French white wine, vodka, sparkling wine and exotic fruit flavors. It has a delightful pink color with aromas of pomegranate and pink grapefruit. Flavors of vanilla and a creamy sweetness in each sip are complemented by notes of fresh strawberries and raspberries. The finish lets all of the fruit sweet notes linger with additional flavors of ripe cherries. It is a terrific after-dinner cocktail or as a sweet surprise for the holidays.

WINE

2006 "La Tiare du Pape"

With the holidays approaching, I always start to be on the lookout for wines that will complement the holiday feasts we enjoy. This wine is soft and subtle but still has the body to stand up to the biggest of meals. Aromas of leather and dark cherries fill the glass and flow into the mouth with a silkiness and refined charm. There are also additional notes of earthiness and black plums that marry with a vanilla and oak hint. This wine has dark fruit, structure, body, and great tannins and acidity. It would be great now or even in 10 years.

BEER

RJ Rockers Honey Amber

Another great beer from our Upstate brewery, the honey amber has a great lace and light caramel color. The aromas of honied nuttiness and creamy malt fill the nose. It's a light-bodied beer with flavors of burnt caramel, honey, malt and raisins with a light bitterness on the finish. This is an extremely easy-drinking amber, very light and flavorful with good character. It would be a terrific match for turkey or grilled chicken.
