-

Calling all you angels: rockers-with-a-huge-pop-bent Train ("Drops of Jupiter,'' "Meet Virginia,'' "Free,'' and "Calling All Angels") return to the House of Blues, with former Kid Rock sidekick Uncle Kracker in tow, on Nov. 14 and tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. Sept. 12. Tickets are $35 in advance, $37 day of show. For more information, call 272-3000 or visit www.houseofblues.com.

Getting more ink these days over alleged affairs and an announcement this week that she's getting divorced, country/pop diva LeAnn Rimes ("How Can I Live?'') headlines Freedom Fest 2009 on Sept. 12 at Freestyle Music Park and advance tickets are now on sale. The festival also features performances by local groups Jeffrey Allen Edwards and Southern Blue and Charlie Floyd and Southern Express, along with veteran performer Billy Joe Royal ("Down on the Boondocks"). Standing room tickets to Rimes' concert are $24.99 (which will also get you into the park to ride the rides) and reserved seats are $54.99 (that includes park admission, too). Call 236-7625 or visit www.freestylemusicpark.com.

There once was a band from Nantucket ... Actually, hard-rocking Nantucket ("Heartbreaker") is from N.C., but never mind geography, dirty nursery rhymes still rock, as does the long-running group once signed to Epic records which is performing a concert Sept. 25 at Broadway at the Beach's Celebrity Square to benefit local non-profit concert association South By Southeast. Advance tickets are $15, available via www.QRockRadio.com.

And speaking of South By Southeast, tickets for the organization's next Music Feast, featuring indie-rock, alt-country sensation The Believers set for Sept. 12 at the Myrtle Beach Train Depot are on sale ($20 for annual members, $25 for monthly members). Monthly memberships are available at the door and it's basically a fancy way for describing a ticket (i.e. you don't have to make a long-term commitment just to enjoy one of SXSE's shows). But your admission price does include a pot luck supper and locally-brewed New South beer. Call 272-4050 or visit www.sxsemusic.com.

Dove Award nominees 33 Miles, a pop-oriented Christian trio, brings its One Life Tour to Little River United Methodist Church on Sept. 20 and advance tickets ($8; $5 for students) are available by calling 249-2329 or logging onto www.lrumc.net or www.itickets.com.

Get ready for flying boxes of fried chicken as down 'n' dirty "countrypolitan'' pranksters Southern Culture on the Skids headline an outdoor concert Saturday at Inlet View Bar & Grille in Shallotte , N.C. Advance tickets are $17.50, available by calling 910-471-2623. Day of show tickets are $25.

From coal miner's daughter to "Van Lear Rose," the pride of Butcher Hollow, Ky., - the inimitable Loretta Lynn - makes her way down the holler for a one-night-only affair at The Alabama Theatre on Sept. 12. Ticket prices start at $42.95 and cap at $58.95. Call 272-1111 or visit www.alabama-theatre.com.

Named after a Monty Python bit, 1990s alt-rock sensation Toad the Wet Sprocket bring a gaggle of melodic hits ("All I Want,'' "Good Intentions," "Walk on the Ocean'') to the House of Blues on Sept. 12. Tickets are $24 in advance, $27 day of show. For more information, call 272-3000 or visit www.houseofblues.com.

Tickets are on sale for Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art headliner/Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Steve Tyrell's performance on Sept. 19 at Brookgreen Gardens, and you can order them ($25-$35) online at www.pawleysmusic.com or by calling 237-4774.

The 2-day gospel extravaganza, Gaither Fest, featuring Gaither patriarch Bill and his namesake vocal band is coming to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center again on Oct. 2-3 and tickets are $85 for two-day passes. Call 800-745-3000 or order online via www.ticketmaster.com.

Do you feel like rocking the Casbah? Clash tribute band Sandinistas! return to the beach with a gig set for Oct. 23 at The Basement at Crazy J's and advance tickets ($5) are on sale via www.myspace.com/thebasementmyrtlebeach.
