Myrtle Beach Area wineries let good times flow
Uncork a barrel of fun, fine wine and entertainment at these vineyards and wineries located on the northern end of the Grand Strand and in Brunswick County, N.C. They offer the perfect way to cozy up to a cool fall day.

The entrance lane to La Belle Amie leads to a wine tasting room, wine and gift shop and sprawling lawn that is transformed into an outdoor stage each month for a schedule of concerts and festivals. The next event on deck: Rock Back the Clock Music and Wine Fest from noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 17. Vineyard tours will be given that day at 2:30 p.m. Regular wine tasting hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday; samples are $5 for five wines - whites, reds, muscadines, sweet and rosé.

Just north of the border on 40 acres of land is Silver Coast's working winery, wine and gift shop, tasting room and gardens. Oct. 17 culminates the summer bocce ball tournaments with a playoff round scheduled at 11 a.m. Sample Silver Coast's line of whites, reds and blushes from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Muscadine grapes are grown, picked, aged and bottled at Hyman Vineyards. And then it's your duty to attend the tastings of red, white or blush varietals at the General Store from noon to 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
