Myrtle Beach man charged with apartment murder

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Myrtle Beach man in connection with a homicide last month.

Michael Anthony York, 36, is charged with the Sept. 24 murder of 58-year-old Perry Haze Ledford, according to Myrtle Beach police Capt. David Knipes.

Ledford was pronounced dead after his body was found in a single-story apartment building at 501 29th Ave. N.

The death marked the fifith homicide in Myrtle Beach city limits this year.
