Man in restaurant with stab wound
Myrtle Beach Police responded to an area restaurant on 71st Ave. N. and Kings Highway after a man with a stab wound walked into the front lobby of the restaurant, police said.
The man, who entered the Flamingo Seafood Grill, was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, police said. He was in the intensive care unit late Tuesday.
Police received a call about the incident around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.
It was unclear Tuesday whether the man was stabbed outside the restaurant or at another location.
The incident is still under investigation.

Horry man charged with HIV contact
A Little River man is charged with exposing another person to the HIV virus, according to Catina Hipp with the Conway Police Department.
Durelle Tysaun Taylor, 24, turned himself in to Conway Police Oct.22. He appeared before Judge Jane Mackey for a bond hearing, Hipp said.
Taylor was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.

Officials respond to house fire
Horry County firefighters responded Monday afternoon to a house fire in Loris, fire officials said.
The incident happened about 2 p.m. Monday on Blue Moon Court in Cherry Hill.
Officials said the fire caused extensive damage to the living room and a bedroom.
No one was home at the time of the fire, officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The local Red Cross is helping the family who lived at the house.
The fire displaced three adults and one child, said Angela Nicholas, chief executive officer of the Coastal South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Two 'eat and run' at Golden Corral
Around 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, two men, thought to be father and son, entered the Golden Corral on 868 Oak Forest Way in Myrtle Beach without purchasing food tickets and prepared and consumed several plates of food, according to the police report.
The restaurant manager, Michael Greene, confronted the pair and they immediately fled the restaurant without paying, the report stated.
The incident was captured on a security video, but the eaters' identities are unknown at this time.

Airport to begin recycling program
Myrtle Beach International Airport will launch a recycling program later this week.
The program will place 12 specially marked airport bins throughout the terminal in high traffic areas. The bins will be provided through a partnership with the Horry County Solid Waste Authority, which has been trying to increase recycling initiatives throughout the county at schools and other institutions.
The bins will make Myrtle Beach International the third airport in the state to start a recycling initiative. The bins will be picked up and emptied by the Solid Waste Authority. The airport will host a launch celebration for the recycling program at 10 a.m. Thursday in the main terminal building.

Adult eductation program awarded grant
The South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy has awarded the Horry County Schools Adult Education a $9,500 grant for a one-year Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, according to officials with the Horry County Schools Adult Education.
The grant will allow Adult Education students ages 18 -19 to have access to reproductive and/or sexual health services and information, and help reduce the number and frequency of teen pregnancies.
The campaign will present the award to Adult Education at 1 p.m. Nov.9 at the Myrtle Beach Family Learning Center, 3101 Oak Street.
The Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program, or T3P, meets one hour each week at three Adult Education Centers in Conway, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, officials said.
Each group has eight to 10 students, male and female, ages 18-19, who receive health information, resources and instruction provided by Jessica Lowery, teen health educator with Family Outreach of Horry County.
Career & College Transition Specialist Tony Kroll and Adult Education Director Virginia G. Simmons coordinate the overall program.
