Three seats
Randy Alford (i) | 594
William
Goldfinch IV | 1101
Irby Koon (i) | 603
Jean Timbes (i) | 667
What it means | Challenger William Goldfinch won his seat by a wide margin, unseating incumbent Randy Alford. The board will continue to be balanced with fiscally conservative Jean Timbes, who voted against the budget last year; Goldfinch and Irby Koon are expected to push for spending to complete projects.
What they said | "I think we turned a new leaf tonight and they said it's time to put forth some change," Goldfinch said. "The first thing I'm hoping to do is get into City Council and empower a lot of people who have never participated in the electoral process. Conway's a great place, born here, reared here, but Conway has so much to offer that we have to tap into. The best days of Conway lie ahead."
