''Down South'' Exhibit at Cheryl Newby Gallery
Cheryl Newby Gallery, 11096 Ocean Highway, Suite 4, Pawleys Island, located in the Shops at Oak Lea, will feature the works of four painters and one sculptor in a group exhibition opening Saturday and continuing through June 7 at the gallery in Pawleys Island. ''Down South'' will feature oils and watercolors by Ray Ellis, Joseph Cave, Ellen Buselli and Martha dePoo. Bronze sculpture by Gwen Marcus will also be featured. ''People Reading" Exhibit
The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, 3100 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, features an exhibit titled ''People Reading: Selections From the Collection of Donald and Patricia Oresman,'' through Oct. 5.
