PAWLEYS ISLAND -- Waccamaw won its 11th straight match, knocking off Ashley Ridge 25-18, 21-25, 25-16 and 25-15 on Wednesday night in the second round of the Class AA volleyball playoffs.
Waccamaw will travel to Dillon at 6 p.m. Tuesday for the Lower State semifinals.
Dillon, which eliminated Andrews in the first round, defeated Silver Bluff on Wednesday night.
This marks the fifth consecutive season in which Waccamaw has reached at least the second round of the postseason, but the first time since 2006 the team has advanced to the Lower State semifinals.
