Breeders Cup roundup: Life Is Sweet wins Ladies' Classic

ARCADIA, Calif. -- Life Is Sweet has won the $2 million Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic, going from last to first with a stretch run.

Life Is Sweet ran 11/8 miles in 1:48.58 and paid $18.20, $8 and $5 at 8-1 odds. She was the fourth longshot to win Friday at Santa Anita.

Mushka returned $12.80 and $6.40, while Music Note was another length back in third and paid $3.20 to show.

Informed Decision wins BC F&M Sprint

Informed Decision won the $1 million Filly & Mare Sprint by 11/4 lengths over defending champion Ventura.

Informed Decisioncovered 7 furlongs in 1:21.66. The 4-year-old gray filly paid $8.80, $3 and $2.80.

Ventura returned $2.60 and $2.20 and Free Flying Soul was another three lengths back in third and paid $7.40 to show.

Tapitsfly scores upset in JF Turf

Tapitsfly won the $1 million Juvenile Fillies Turf by a half-length, keeping her undefeated in two starts on the grass.

The 2-year-old gray filly ran one mile Friday in 1:34.25 under Robby Albarado. Tapitsfly paid $21.60, $8.60 and $6 at 9-1 odds.

Rose Catherine returned $6.80 and $5.80, while House of Grace was third and paid $5 to show.

She Be Wild wins Juvenile Fillies in upset

She Be Wild charged along the rail to win the $2 million Juvenile Fillies by three-quarters of a length.

She Be Wild covered 11/16 miles in 1:43.80 Friday and paid $16.80, $9 and $5. Beautician returned $9.40 and $6, while Blind Luck was another head back in third and paid $3 to show as the 7-2 wagering favorite.

Man of Iron wins Marathon

Man of Iron won the $500,000 Breeders' Cup Marathon in a photo finish over 9-year-old gelding Cloudy's Knight.

Man of Iron won by a nose Friday and paid $14.80, $7.20 and $4.40 in his U.S. debut after running exclusively in Europe. He covered 13/4 miles in 2:54.1 .

Making his Breeders' Cup debut at the relatively advanced age of 9, Cloudy's Knight returned $7.40 and $4.60. Mastery was another 2 1 / 4 lengths back in third and paid $2.40 to show.
