Myrtle Beach - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans certainly didn't hit the ball as well over the weekend as they did while pounding out a season-high 13 runs and 18 hits in the first game of a four-game series against Lynchburg Thursday night. But the Pelicans have to look at shoddy defense as the culprit for a three-game losing streak at BB&T Coastal Field, including a 4-2 loss Sunday night that culminated three consecutive error-prone efforts in the field.
