the locale | Nashville Dreams Country Music Bar & Grill
Myrtle Beach
The lowdown | Calling all country music fans: We hit Nashville Dreams for happy hour this week ... and it is your dream spot to grab a bite, some beverages and listen to music. Formerly The Sound Garden, and Rock 'N' Roadhouse, this is not just a live music venue, this is a place where you can just come, hang out and listen to your favorite country tunes. When you step into Nashville Dreams, you feel like you're stepping right into an establishment in Music City. Longhorns hang on the wall, high-top tables are made from wine barrels, and country music is always playing. It's a split-level building with two bars, a dance floor, a stage with a Lone Star (did they confuse their states?) painted behind it, and plenty of seats and tables for you to sit and watch entertainment. Nashville Dreams features comedians on Wednesdays. You can try out your own vocal chords on Tuesdays during karaoke, and during the weekends, you can expect some live bands to take the stage. College students will want to head to College Night on Thursdays for a deejay and drink specials. Football fans should not be disappointed on game days ... Nashville Dreams has the complete football package and a number of flat panel TVs. According to the bar's motto, "It's always Happy Hour at Nashville Dreams" - but you can also find even better drink specials between the hours of 5-7 p.m., such as $2 well drinks, $2 beer bottles and $1.50 drafts. And you can always get a Monster Bomb for $4. Wednesday is wing night, when you can munch on wings for 20-cents a pop. All appetizers are always $5, and burgers are also on the menu. Plus you can cash in on "The Dream" combo - a cheeseburger, six wings and a pitcher of beer for $12.
Tips | Nashville Dreams wants to entice football fans to watch games at its locale, so expect good deals on game days.
