Here comes the judge
As I pondered writing this column, a friend of mine suggested I change the name to NOT Ridin' With Big E. Temperatures are in the 20s as I write and Chili Dawg, my 2001 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic, is actually very chilly in the garage, where he's been for several weeks now.
What goes up must come down

If you asked me what I wanted to be six or seven years ago I would have answered, "I want to own a custom motorcycle business." These days I am relieved I resisted that urge.
A busy year ahead for bikers

With a new year upon us I thought it would be appropriate to consider what lies ahead. Below is a compilation of some upcoming local, regional and national motorcycle events for you to look forward to.
Biker Games

Sing it with me: " All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names. They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games..."
What's on Biker TV?

The first time I recall seeing bikers on TV was in 2002. The Discovery Channel debuted West Coast Choppers owner Jesse James' "Monster Garage" in June of 2002 and the channel's "Great Biker Build-Off" series in September of the same year.
These Are My Church Clothes

Thanksgiving Day is a holiday originating as a harvest festival - a time to give thanks to God for the bounty provided. With that in mind I decided to take a look at how God is working in the motorcycle community here along the Grand Strand.
When Did I Move to South Park?

"I'll do it again in 2010." The faithful boycotters of Myrtle Beach businesses are already resigning themselves to another year of avoiding the city limits, but at this point I'm not sure why. City elections were held Nov.
the moment of truth

When asked "How important do you think the issue of motorcycle rallies will be in next month's elections?" in a Sun News online poll, 1,023 out of 1,180 people answered either "It's the only issue that matters" (256) or "Important" (767); an overwhelming 87 percent.
is anybody out there?

As the bike week debates continue to heat up heading into the November city elections in Myrtle Beach, another Pilgrimage Fall Rally has come and gone. Much like the Spring Rally, numbers were down and vendors were complaining, but tens of thousands did turn out.
the pilgrimage rolls on

"Not a Dime in '09" is still the war cry of many who support bikers, motorcycle rallies, common sense, business sense, American freedoms, and/or the South Carolina state Constitution. Boycotters are refusing to do business inside the city limits of Myrtle Beach after city officials unleashed attacks on, well, bikers, motorcycle rallies, common sense, business sense, American freedoms, and/or the South Carolina state Constitution.
